{Review} BH Cosmetics Bronze palette

I recenty place an order with BH Cosmetics (via Aramex Global shopper) and this was one of the items I ordered. It had just released in August. On looking at the shades I was like “I must have it “. It’s perfect for summer.
On receiving it i was thrilled. This palette is housed in a sleek mirrored metallic case.
This is a all in one eye and cheek palette with 9 beautiful shades of eye shadows, one bronzer and one highlighter. The eye shadows include light and dark shades, 2 mattes and 7 shimmer. The pigmentation is amazing on the eye shadows and is easy to blend. Certainly makes it easy to create every day to exotic looks and creates a subtle smokey eye. And the highlighter is just wow that is all i can say!!!

This palette is super affordable at only $10 from BH Cosmetics.

Until next time beauties.....

{REVIEW} B!TCH FACE BLENDER

Hi beauty fanatics. Let me introduce you to B!TCH FACE BLENDER
I won a year supply (4 B!tch face Blender – as they last at 3 months each) from House of An and Alila.
I can assure you all I totally ecstatic to try out these babies, I mean who wouldn’t be as makeup sponges is the new best friend of us makeup lovers.

These blenders comes in 6 funky colours, are latex free, Non –Allergenic, Odor-less, Hydrophilic and reusable. Can also be used wet or dry and expands to twice the size in water.
On to my experience, I simply must add that is my new favourite tool. I use this face blender (damp) to apply my foundation and found that the foundation was evenly distributed throughout my face and made my skin look natural and flawless. I simply put my foundation on my skin and then pat the blender against my face in quick circular motions. I love the B!tch Face Blender no doubt. Looking for a face blender for your makeup ? I highly recommend these babies at only R100 each, affordable right ? email hello@hoanimage.com for more info.

Essence Merry Berry Trend Edition

This was one of the prettiest editions that I have seen by Essence. Once this released in stores I made sure I hurried to get them.

I can honestly say I was thrilled when I found all that I wanted from this collection. Trust me when I say I really held myself back from digging in.
The full range is made up of three lipsticks, two eye shadows, four nail polishes and a glitter top coat, a shimmer powder, a hair perfume and a highlighting powder.
Image : http://purelylocal.co.za/
I got:
 Essence Merry Berry Lipsticks in
01 Let’s the Berry-Tales Begin, 02 Pink & Perfect and 03 Red Rocks, at R42 each.
They are such beautiful shades and look’s so amazing. I think they would suit most skin tones.
Essence Merry Berry Highlighter in 01 I love My Golden Pumps at R60
This is a beautiful warm toned highlighting powder. It has a smooth texture and is not too sparkly. I can see myself reaching for this one very often.

Essence Merry Berry Scented Gold dust powder in 01 I love My Golden Pumps at R63
I just had to have this one as I found the bottle to be the cutest ever. This reminds me of ancient perfume bottles. This is a perfumed gold shimmering powder for the body.

Beautiful Edition and very affordable.

What catches your eye from this collection?

Review : Bourjois Smoky Stories Quad Eyeshadow Palette

Firstly I must admit that I am a huge fan of Bourjois cosmetics. I find all there products to be amazingly exceptional!!So without further ado, here is one of the palettes.

I have the  05 Good Nude palette.

The formula of this eye shadow is well pigmented, easy to blend out and wears well even on oily lids (I do recommend a primer as I do with every powder product). This palette has a glitter segment in the center ( see pics) and is called the "Light Touch"and has been intended for use in the inner corner corner to brighten and open the eyes. It can of course be packed all over the eye for a full on glitter finish or dampened to create a glitter liner. Despite being a glitter it isn't all gritty and not prone to fall out (nothing worse than glitter all over your face) and looks beautiful when applied in the corner of the eyes.
All in all great little palette that makes the smokey eye much easier to do!!

Review : Revlon Photoready Eyeshadow :Watercolors 520

I really liked this palette as I found it quite pretty and nice shades.

Shades (in order from the top)
Lavender : brow bone
Blue : Crease
Lilac : eyelids
Pinky -violet : Primer
Pink : sparkle top coat

It is a small palette, perfect for the handbag. I also love that it has an image at the back to show you where each shade should be applied.

On applying it to my lids, I found that it is quite pigmented and has a very soft like butter feel. Blends really well.
I feel this eye shadows can be used for day or night.
A palette with all in one :)

Till next time beauties xoxo

Review :Dior Addict Lip Glow

This was one product I was really keen on trying, I have really, really dry lips. The skin tends to peel off in little flakes, and no amount of exfoliating seems to help. I like that this has SPF in it.

This lip glow comes in a hard plastic case that is a pretty pink color. It has a little silver ball on the end. Very attractive and classy packaging.

The color is sheer and enhances your natural lip color. I don’t always wear makeup, and this feels like it would fit really well into my zero-effort beauty regimen. It feels like something I could keep in my handbag and slap on without having to use a mirror or worry about fading or how it’s wearing.

It’s not sticky at all, and it feels deeply moisturizing and conditioning. It has left my lips feeling soft and supple. Love that it is also long-lasting. After applying this, a couple of hours later I noticed, it was still definitely on my lips only some shine was lost. The pigment did not wear off, and my lips still feel nice and conditioned.

This lip glow has certainly helped me get through Winter :)

Review : The Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks

Yay its Spring. Time for some beautiful colours. And these eye shadow sticks are so perfect.

The Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks are large, jumbo and chunky pencils of cream eye shadow.
They offer control and ease of pencil eyeliner, allowing for easy and precise application.

I have them in three shades:
005- Tempting Turquoise
006 – Paranoid Purple
007 – Gossip Green
(Let’s just say I love bright shades)

Much like all cream eye shadows the Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks are multi-purpose - you can use them as a base/primer, apply all over for a wash of colour or of course wear it as eyeliner.

The texture of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks are soft, creamy and light, superbly pigmented all the while being easy to blend.
I found that they glided onto the skin with such ease but I suggest this product be used with a primer if used alone as the formula tends to slip and crease fairly easily. I found that they are quite long lasting on my oily eyelids with the primer.

I was quite disappointed as I found them to be not retractable as I hoped.

But in all I am a fan of them and will certainly added to my favourites.

These are the shades they come in :

Available at Zando.co.za for R89 each.

Revlon ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in 500 Addictive

Addictive is a very neutral quad and I think should work for most skin tones.

Small quad that could easily fit in your handbag.  Love the informative info at the back, it shows you exactly how this quad can be used.
All four colours in this quad are buttery soft. Very easy to apply and blends really well. I also find that it does not crease or smudge.
I did however find that the eyeshadow does not last for 16 hours as indicated.

Very affordable and great for everyday usage.

Almay Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipsticks

Almay has finally added more lip products to their range. Awesome right?  The brand is known for their "smart shade" system, making it easier to find your perfect shade.
In my recent haul I purchased 2 of these Lip butters (Berry and red - Medium).

So how the Smart Shade system work is that all the lip colours are divided into skin tone categories and shade categories.
These lip butters is so amazing. I find that they are rich, a melty balm that glides onto my lips and leaves behind colour, a high sheen, and a hydrating finish. These wear comfortably on my lips. It remains pleasantly moist through the day and feels very soothing on my dry lips. They have no fragrance or flavour

These new Almay Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipsticks are the perfect way to get moisture and beautiful colour on my lips easily. Really loving this formula! Cannot wait to get my hands on the Medium Nude and Pink!!!

Retails for R110 at Dischem

Rimmel stay glossy lip glosses

SO yeah I am lip gloss hoarder my previous posts definitely shows this hahaha. I have this gloss in two shades

All day seduction (640) – a bit on the orange side
Stay my Rose (160) – light pink

The applicator: It's flat and curved and this one doesn't have as much bend to it, which allows for extremely precise application. It’s really lovely

Texture and shine: I found these glosses are not overly sticky it’s actually very slight. It feels nice and creamy on the lips. I also don't find it to be overly runny. It’s a light weight gloss. The shine fades rather quickly within half an hour and leaves more of a matte finish behind. For something called "Stay Glossy" I was actually hoping it would last longer.

Fragrance and flavour: I found the fragrance to be sweet and not overpowering. No flavour.

Staying power: After using these glosses a few times I noticed that they never lasted for more than an hour on my lips. For a gloss that says (right on the tube), "up to 6 hours" of "last & shine”.

Overall: I love the applicator, shades, texture and fragrance. The staying power was rather disappointing but for the price, I would say they are really very affordable and I really like it.
Available at Zando. www.zando.co.za Currently on special for R71 each (normal price – R89)

Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain - Adore 055 and Honey 001

I have these in two shades :
055 Adore Adoree - Rust Maroon
001 Honey Douche- light pink

This is what I loved of these products
Retractable Chubby Crayon – no need for sharpening which is very convenient
Also provide Soft and Smooth Lips.
It’s Easy to apply on lips
I felt they are highly pigmented and long lasting.

However I do like the minty scent that these balm stains has. And I also feel that some shades will not work for all.

So from the these 2 my favourite has to be Adore.

Almay Just Plum Good 100 and Blooming Balm 600

I have two shades of these glosses:
100 Just Plum Good - Plum
600 Blooming Balm- Light pink

I felt these glosses applies easily and is sheer but noticeable. It makes my lips feel softer even after the gloss has worn out. These glosses nourish the lips with oils like avocado and vitamin E. I also loved that it was not sticky like other glosses. It has a faint scent of Vanilla but it fades away quickly. Great lasting power.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick

I bought 2 colours 01 – Personne ne rouge and 08 Grand cru.
These lipsticks don’t dry my lips too much and gives a nice matte finish, rather than a cakey, or shiny layer. (but if you have extremely dry lips, it can cling to dry patches, so make sure to exfoliate your lips and apply a clear lip balm first). The colour is nice and strong, easy to apply and lasts. It also has a nice texture. The finish looks like a beautiful tinted lip. It comes in a clear plastic bottle and the cap matches its corresponding shade which is very nice.
Pros: - There are 8 colours to choose from.
Highly pigmented liquid that sets to a velvet matte finish on the lips
They apply nicely with a slant foam applicator and are affordable.
They are small and can easily fit in my makeup bag or even my in pocket.
Cons: they bleed out of my lips slightly, nothing a lip liner can't fix.
It does come off on my fingers when I press it to my lips, and it also comes off on glasses and mugs. It doesn’t completely dry on the lips, it kind of turns into a powdery finish once it sets and if you rub your lips together, you can feel the lipstick sliding
What I also loved is that if you eat, you will need to touch up but most of it will still be there..
I definitely love it and I can't wait to try out more shades. I really love this lipstick. I'm always looking for the perfect product that has staying power. Highly recommended!!!

Avon CC Cream (Medium Beige)

CC creams are now the in thing so bb creams you can take the backseat for me.

I have oily skin and acne prone. So I have a lot of dark spots. I have always been looking for a product to help conceal not only my dark spots but also the dark circles under the eyes.
Describe the product look feel and texture.
This product comes in a black tube (30ml) very simple to use and fits perfectly in my hand bag for those cover up moments.
It does have a light fragrance that smells like a combination of foundation and sun screen
I have been using this cc cream itself without a primer and with the SPF 50 you know you are covered.
I loved the way it feels on my skin. This CC cream goes on light on the skin and absorbs very quickly leaves my pores well covered and face looking flawless. It also lasts throughout the day and didn’t get obscenely greasy or rubbed off.
It leaves my skin looking all natural. It also noticeably evened out my skin tone
Within the two weeks of use. Unlike the BB cream makes my skin feel pasted.

Available in 6 shades so you can find your perfect match
It contains SPF 50, a necessity
Contains Vitamin C as well as licorice
It contains correcting pigments and pearls to improve the look of dullness.
The finish is natural matte

Overall observation I highly recommend this to everyone. It has a high sun protection, and it looks very natural and doesn't look fake or cakey.

Tangle Teezer : Red and black compact

So i always wondered what is the hype around the Tangle Teezer!

I have very fine and wavy hair and almost every morning my hair is tangled.

The Tangle Teezer compact is very light and you would think that how will these soft bristles remove the tangles i was very skeptical. I was proved wrong once I started using it.Wow it removes the tangles with such ease and with minimal damage.
The brush is smaller than I anticipated,it fits in the palm of my hand and also easily fits in your handbag. It also has a removable cover to protect the innovative flexi teeth from dust, dirt and fluff. It certainly does the job and I am very pleased that I decided to buy it from Takealot for only R129 delivered for free :)

For me this a wonder brush works on wet, dry hair and is also suitable for all hair types. No more tears. All I can say is where have you been all my life!!!!!

John Frieda Full Repair Repairing Oil Elixir

I have very fine and oily hair so quite honestly i was not to keen on trying this.

On opening i have to admit it smelt really awesome.

The oil has a thin consistency, and quite watery. The instructions recommend using one pump each time I wash my hair.(Really loving the pump - no waste age)I rub my palms together, and work my hands through my damp hair, even my roots.

The Repairing Oil Elixir helps reduce drying time considerably, which I love as I have to use less heat on my hair which in time will mean less damage. It even contains ingredients which protects the hair whilst using hot tools. As well as protecting the hair against further damage, it works a treat on helping to repair damage. It contains Inca Inchi Oil which is said to contain up to 47 times more Omega-3 than Argan Oil does which explains why this Repairing Oil Elixir is so effective. The ends of my hair feel so smooth, and really awesome.

I think for R110 for a 100ml bottle is totally worth it. A bottle of liquid Gold that is what i would call it
